At least when playing the “Fall of the Novgorod Republic” campaign mission, pressing V to order Rus crossbowmen to remain stationary causes them to use the bow animation, flinging their crossbow around in their right hand as if it was an arrow. Tested in skirmish with Rus and English and it seems to not happen in skirmish but rather only in campaign. Didn’t test other missions or campaigns.
