Custom hotkeys for units/tech with modded-string does not work

  • OPERATING SYSTEM: Windows 10

:arrow_forward: ISSUE EXPERIENCED

custom hotkeys in modded-strings.txt for custom units and tech does not work, not reflecting in game since the November 2020 patch.

:arrow_forward: FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

:point_down: How often does the issue occur? CHOSE ONE; DELETE THE REST!

  • 100% of the time / matches I play (ALWAYS)

:point_down: List CLEAR and DETAILED STEPS we can take to reproduce the issue ourselves… Be descriptive!

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. make an UI mod
  2. create a custom unit or tech, with a string value to assign a hotkey in junction with data mod
  3. play the game, custom unit/tech hotkeys in game does not work

:point_down: What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present?
custom unit and tech hotkeys use to work but no longer works. however custom building hotkeys still works.

here are the data mod and UI mod, which they work together for the custom hotkeys.

custom hotkeys on building works, but custom units doesnt. heres a video on settings and how to make custom units to get to hotkeys.
