Dash mode for infantryline and shield wall mode

Infantry can run for small distances and in shield wall mode they can be slow and have high pierce armor and meelee armor. Dash mode activates every 30 seconds where their speed increases twice and lasts for 5 seconds.
This will make infantry play viable.

Honestly I looove the idea of a dash that recharges for both swordsman (and similar UU) and elephants, purists will hate it, but I think it would fix every issue for those units and create new depth in the game, not to mention new possible bonuses and UTs

I would personally make it user-activated tho, maybe with the attack move hotkey (patrol would work as before)

The shield wall thing is cool, but I think it would be too many options for the same unit, I wouldn’t mind it for a new UU or adding it to some existing UUs like the Berserker or Legionary (it would replace the dash)

That sounds good. I suggest below.

Infantry
->Dash mode can run by 1.15 tile/s, lasts for 10 secs, but get rid of armor by -1/-1 (or give damage to themselves by 1/2s)

Some fast infantry UUs are exceptions.

Elephants
->Dash mode can run by 1.3 tile/s, lasts for 15 secs, but give damage to themselves by 1/s

Dash mode can use only 1 time per a unit.
And crossbow-line may need some buff e.g. upgrade cost down.

I also want the double jump

I want to play AoE2, not AoE5.

Maybe not the entire infantry line but I could see a unique unit having the dash/charge into battle work similarly to the chronicles ramming ships.

If they ever add the Gauls or Germans in chronicles that would be thematically fitting for a unit of theirs.

The shield wall idea could work as a type of formation, closely packed, slower but increased armour.
