Giving the slavs the original white building set would fix this issue.

If Iām not wrong the vast majority of buildings in eastern eastern (forgive the redundancy) europe were made of wood during the middle ages, with limestone bricks being reserved for monasteries and monuments.
If slavs/rus were given a proper architecture only the monastery and the castle should be made of white stone.
