You addressed the concerns of Rome not being a ranked multiplayer civ, and you’ve addressed the concern of ROR not having enough singleplayer content to stand on it’s own with the confirmation of the return of campaigns via the vote.
Thank you. I never make posts like these but you ought to know that your efforts are appreciated even by the more ornery posters of the forum. Responses like this are why the AOE2 community has it better than any other multiplayer game on the market today.

The devs havent made any statement about RoR getting a proper ranked system at all. The lack of a proper ranked system is why RoR multiplayer is already kinda death. It never had a change to became alive in the first place. We are stuck with lobbies only, while ranked match making is a much more superior system.
I already fair it is too late to add a match making system to RoR. Most of the potential RoR multiplayer base already has decided RoR isnt for them and they stick to AoE2. Adding a match making system to it now is probably already too late to change their mind. And given how death RoR multiple is, there is also no incentive for AoE1 DE players to move over to AoE2 RoR, the same is true for the big Vietnam community.

Appreciation is good, but be aware of the fact that you paid for the expansion and it was underwhelming. Promising content after the fact does not make your money investment worthwhile. Clearer communication upfront would have been appreciated.
The expansion was certainly not underwhelming to me. I found the information to be clear when I purchased the game on discount, and since then, the devs are adding more, including having Rome a ranked civ in multiplayer, which I did not anticipate. I honestly did not care about that, but adding it is a good thing for other players.
