Yes, sometimes I hate auto correct.
The civ designed mainly for 1v1 and later some bonuses are added on. At least thatâs my impression.
Thereâs an area in Malaysia where thereâs two completely different ecosystems and faunas despite both pretty much bordering each other, because the currents make it impossible for the creatures to cross over despite the proximity. Maybe that or something similar also prevented human contact.
A group of Aboriginal Australians settled in Sulawesi, possibly dating from the 1600s, well before British colonization of Australia from 1788. Photos in the article were taken in the 1870s.
I think they are fine.
Depending on what the cost is for their unique units, the idea of them generating gold to recover the cost works for them. I am very curious IF the foragersâ bonus is basically similar for Malians, but for food. (more food and longer duration for those)
What it can be OP is the HP bonus, even if a Skirmisher will get taken down +1/+2 hits later. As long as they lack certain upgrades, I think it can get balanced.
I am very curious of this interaction between Mapuche and Berbers, because as far as I know those 2 civs have the only techs that affect team castles alongside theirs. Also, the wording suggests that it can also affect UUs in other military units. (Huskarls and/or Tarkans and/or Condottieros)
As for pass-through damage, which I have planned for a civ concept thatâs in the final phase, I think it will be a low percent, akin to Gurjarasâ Chakram Throwers.
There is a wall build in rapa nui with architecture very different from the rest of the island, and very similar to the incan one. It calles vinapu. It part of the Legend of Tupac Yupanqui visiting the island.
Oh, trust me, I know all about that. Iâm practically obsessed with Oceania, especially Polynesia.
Yes, obviouslyâŠ
Yes, itâs a cabin on a hillâŠ
-
The Mapuche Wonder is a ruka hut with chemamĂŒll wooden statues, cultrun drums, and trarikan makuñ textiles. The hut stands on a rocky outcropping that may represent a cuel.

The Mapuche Castle is based on the gateways of the Sacsayhuaman.[1][2][3]
- The fortress of SacsayhuamĂĄn also played a big role in shaping Fortified Walls and Universities of the South American architecture set.[4]
It would be a cheaper GenitourâŠ
Because they were located further inland in the desert, and they were essentially Malays who settled in Australia 50,000 years ago and remained isolated from the world until the arrival of the British in 1788. The following year, as in America, smallpox killed 90% of the regionâs Aboriginal population. The European diseases that the colonists brought with them (such as smallpox, chickenpox, measles, influenza, and tuberculosis) claimed the lives of thousands of Aboriginal people. In regions where both communities coexisted, venereal diseases severely reduced the Aboriginal fertility and birth rates. With the colonists, the Aboriginal people also discovered alcohol, tobacco, and opium; the abuse of toxic substances that became widespread throughout the 19th century remains a widespread problem among Indigenous Australian communities in the 20th century.
The combined effects of disease, loss of their lands, and direct violence reduced the Aboriginal population by 90% across Australia between 1788 and 1900.
Yes. You get yout tesm bonus and also Berbers UT effect in 1v1 or FFA. The detailed tech tree makes it clearer - Team Castle UU and Bolas Rider are 15% cheaper.
I really worry about its stacking potential with multiple Mapuche players.
There were no Malays 50,000 years agoâŠ
Aboriginal Australians are most closely related to Papuans and some Negrito populations. There might have been some later influx from India 4000 years ago.
No need to worry, team bonuses donât stack that way.
Itâs not a team bonus. Itâs a unique tech, and unique techs do stack. Just ask the Berbers.
Mapuche Genitour will:
- have +10/+15 HP in Castle/Imperial Age.
- generate +3 gold per military unit killed.
- have +2 line of sight.
- deal pass-through damage (with Butalmapu Imperial UT).
It wonât be cheaper
Ah yes, since I read that they came from Southeast Asia, I thought they might be related to the Malays or the PolynesiansâŠ
Oh no, then weâll have to think about what would happen in certain pairingsâŠ
Good point, then the unit should cost more food and wood (for example, 80-120 food and 70-105 wood)âŠ
Seems like their main gold units are Champi and Bolas Rider. But not enough tool for TG. They will be a flank civ with spear+skirm opening into Bolas Rider I guess.
Yes, I see them as a cavalry civilization like the Huns⊠quick attacks and retreating every so oftenâŠ
