An especially egregious example of the absurd randomness of deer luring. This deer goes from running to walking back without ever stopping while being chased from as close behind as could reasonably be expected. This needs to be addressed. Raise the minimum time required before the deer returns home and make the distance it travels after each scare a consistent amount.
No, I restarted after this. It’s Arabia with no mods. Have the various problems with deer pushing really not come to your attention before? Virtually every professional I’ve ever watched encounters this sort of randomness on the regular.
Please help me understand why it isn’t feasible to just raise the minimum time required before the deer returns home and make the distance it travels after each scare a consistent amount.
I’ve had this happen too (sorry don’t have rec). It seems to occur when deer runs for longer than it’s “normal” run time/distance. This is common when deer is close to a gold/stone pile–it will run for longer than usual to get clear of the obstacle and then immediately start to walk back. Like it’s getting two consecutive “run” commands in a row without resetting the “lure ok” timer and then it just times out. Very frustrating, it would be great if it could be fixed!
