Ottomans are not a valid argument since the whole CIV is unbalanced and stupid
With two player of equal skill the Ottoman just wins
I am so confused now i donât know what to say anymore.
do you have a masterâs degree in moving goalposts?
âin your attempts to refute my absolute nonsense claims and complete misunderstanding of every level of the game, you did not address every single possible facet of my ignorance. As such you are a fool, have no idea what youâre talking about and I can freely disregard any of your insights.â
Fixed it for you.
I dont like promoting myself but like
Watch and tell me i dont know about defending as malta
(Im not a pro and made alot of mistakes but by god do I abuse malta defensive capabilites)
Guilty as charged
We know enough to know that 2 blockhouses isnât actually a turtle, and itâs not enough to take on a full army even in age 2.
We will always love you anyways <3
Then, whenever you discover nativesâs town dance your head will explode.
âthis culverin was just show of that he can win with less population spaceâ
I have no complaints about the game other than those dead 5 falconets and the complete absence of depots (you place it one time very good, but where the others).
But I have some complaints about the deck. Itâs not optimal.
- If you take the English card, why do you need crossbow upgrades and vice versa.
- The fact that you didnât take the wall guns is -50% of the economic efficiency of the sentinels. You havenât built these walls either.
And defense by commanderies, as the game showed, is not effective. 30 damage doesnât work. There it was necessary to build a fence from them. For some reason unknown to me, the enemy was scared by the fixed anti-ship gun and began to attack from the other side. It was a big mistake.
Or that you can cleverly place your houses to create choke points .
Well 1-the few other depots I used werent showcased and my explorer was usually tanking/living/dying again like tom cruise in edge of tomorrow but the reason he was scared of big cannon is on that patch it did more damage to cav so coyotes which tend to bunch up would be vunerable.
As for deck- british tongue is good but the scaling of xbow is just better. 19 to 22 range isnt that bad, xbow much tankier when caught by coyotes and better animation for the back and forth warfare. Longbows are imho underutilized for malta vs TWC civs as their ability to sit and nuke the low hp masses of mostly infantry vs their rush. But long term you get more value going into xbow/pike which their cards effect both.
Wall guns is probably still shit but on that patch you needed 3 layers to get +1 range aka not viable ever. If you got 3 layers of walls cannons skirms outrange you anyways so ig if hes dumb enough to throw unsupported pikes into 3 layers of wall and musk it maybe ok?
As for commandaries I disgaree. I forced him to make pikes as his coyotes would run around die and idle me a bit. Pikes that cost coin. They locked down my sides of the maps enough he either took free damage running past or wasted time sieging them (i dunno if they caught it but i used the teleport for my vills at least2x lol) spending 1000s of res to handle 1x 350 building that I also dropped units out of. This is Exactly how you use commandaries and blockhouse is the point. Its not a instant win its about draining and utility
