Delhi - Reinforced Foundations - Ranged Attack Upgrade (+1/2/3) does not properly affect Garrison Arrow Damage of existing Houses when researched BEFORE Fortified Foundations

Delhi can research “Reinforced Foundations” at the Age 3 Landmark “House of Learning”, which gives Houses the ability to be garrisoned by villagers/infantry, and can also shoot Garrison Arrows as well.

The Garrison Arrows should do [6 + 1/2/3] damage if you research the Ranged Attack Upgrade (+1/2/3) from the Blacksmith, but it is possible to have [6+0] damage, even if you have Ranged Attack (+3) researched.

If you already researched “Reinforced Foundations”:

  • Researching a Ranged Attack Upgrade (+X) will properly affect existing houses and future built houses.

However, if you have not researched “Reinforced Foundations” yet:

  • Researching a Ranged Attack Upgrade (+X) will not affect existing houses, and instead only affects future built houses.

Example series of events where you can have 4 separate houses, with [6+0], [6+1], [6+2], and [6+3] arrow damage, all at the same time:

  1. Build “House 0”
  2. Research “Ranged Attack (+1)” → Only upgrades future houses
  3. Build “House 1”
  4. Research “Ranged Attack (+2)” → Only upgrades future houses
  5. Build “House 2”
  6. Research “Ranged Attack (+3)” → Only upgrades future houses
  7. Build “House 3”
  8. Research “Reinforced Foundations”
  9. Garrison each of the 4 houses
  10. House 0/1/2/3 will have [6+0/1/2/3] garrison arrow damage respectively

Another example, where you will have [6+0], [6+1], and [6+2] arrow damage at the same time, but then they will all be fixed to have [6+3] arrow damage in the end:

  1. Build “House 0”
  2. Research “Ranged Attack (+1)” → Only upgrades future houses
  3. Build “House 1”
  4. Research “Ranged Attack (+2)” → Only upgrades future houses
  5. Build “House 2”
  6. Research “Reinforced Foundations”
  7. Garrison each of the 3 houses
  8. House 0/1/2 will have [6+0/1/2] garrison arrow damage respectively
  9. Research “Ranged Attack (+3)” → Upgrades existing houses and future houses
  10. Build “House 3”
  11. Garrison each of the 4 houses
  12. Houses 0/1/2/3 will all have [6+3] garrison arrow damage

So basically, Blacksmith Ranged Attack Upgrade (+1/2/3) needs to upgrade existing houses when “Reinforced Foundations” is not yet researched.
