ISSUE EXPERIENCED
DESCRIBE THE ISSUE IN DETAIL (below). LIMIT TO ONE BUG PER THREAD.
When hosting custom multiplayer lobbies the game crashes after 1 hour and 5 minutes on average with a desynch. This desynch also crashes the whole windows whenever it occurs but does not restart the computer.
Everyone seems to just freeze suddenly. This freeze causes a crash or desynch for 1 player or everyone at the same time. If it does not crash everyone the game speeds up massively for some while others stay frozen leading to a 1-2 minute gap in their game time and the actual game time leading to another possible freeze and desynch situation leading to a full on desynch of everyone if the first time didn’t yet. (and a crash of the game + windows)
Restoring the save is a waste of time too as the game will freeze/desynch/crash again within minutes.
It happens in every single game I’ve played in the last weeks and it’s killing our diplomacy community as the game is straight up unplayable for a long time now. Please fix this issue, again.
I have been told this happens in other types of lobbies and communities too and I would like to hear confirmation here if possible.

REPRODUCTION STEPS
List CLEAR and DETAILED STEPS we can take to reproduce the issue ourselves… Be descriptive!
Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:
- Start custom multiplayer lobby, no mods with 7 other friends
- Start and play for about an hour and 5 minutes
- Game freezes, desynch happens for 1 player or all players. Repeats again a few minutes later until it just crashes everyone.
EXPECTED RESULT
What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present?
We should be playing a regular game of Age of Empires 2 DE.
