Developers must reset the Chinese model. Then stop the cultural appropriation

Chinese modeling must be redone, with a large number of poor-quality models and repetitive designs. zhanmadao , san yan chong,Chuangzi-nu, is exclusively used by the Chinese.

I also posted on Reddit, and you guys wouldn’t approve it. It’s truly disgusting.

Are these over the top dramatic responses like a translation issue or something?

Your information is extremely detailed and well-supported with solid evidence. I wish the development team would put this much effort into their work, but for them, it might just be too complex and professional to grasp. The problem, though, is that they’ve put far more effort into accurately representing Japanese civilization visually—meaning the building and unit models, textures, and overall aesthetic design—than they have for Chinese civilization.

I mean, my post on Reddit didn’t pass the review.

Although I rarely hold the US Devs to such high standards of historical accuracy, you have effectively conveyed the frustration of the current Chinese player base.

After all, this pattern of broad stripes on Trader doesn’t really align with traditional Chinese artistic conventions. And the Devs may have indeed made some controversial choices this time.

Imagine developers claiming to be interested in your country’s history and your player community, then simultaneously producing low-quality models and releasing a controversial variant civilization, causing some Europeans to hate Chinese people and spreading conspiracy theories. Then they place your country’s culture onto models of other nations. Finally, they create a completely new, fake culture for you.

Ok, so it’s not just a translation thing, it’s as unhinged as it sounded.

Nobody’s going to be hating Chinese folk because of a faction in an RTS game.

Nothing wrong with feedback for the devs about the game, but c’mon.
