There are a lot of buildings and at the very least it requires splitting it into 2 parts (I wish I could remap it for economic and military buildings).
With that and selecting only a specific type of unit I end the hotkey requests.

Yes, this is exactly my point.
all aoe has the same basis: houses, tc, etc. all aoe 4 building can be configurated on aoe 3 style with just let all abuilding instant hotkeyable withoput requiring extra menus per age.
This is not coh 2 but your hotkey preferenc eis alredy there. I don’t understand the response
well, the grid has been there since day one, so your preference is served, but not everyone’s preferences were, admittedly the only one of mine not yet addressed is having 4 sub menus for construction, it is friendly for mouse only no doubt, but for hotkeys its quite hellish, at least esc no longer being mandatory is helping a bit here
some insight on what my binds are, my layout is about 90% grid based, but some commands, notably likes of attack move and patrol, or stop command, are using keys i’m used to instead of grid position, i applied these binds that are custom for me the same way for every aoe game i play if it was possible, i was unable to truly play aoe4 comfortably till fully remappable binds got implement, those enabled genuine comfort with controls, being able to finally take advantage of years of muscle memory, i do hope relic keeps fully remappable binds in the engine permanently for every game they make from now on
apparently new patch made no attempt to fix anything thats said, hard to care about this game anymore these days, stayed off the game for 2 months now.
i really wanna see how stormgate will hande this, to see if anyone bothers anymore with proper fully remappable binds
