I am seeing that several players are having this problem, here is a temporary solution.
Basically, a lot of people have that hotkey set to other things, and they constantly open the ping communication unintentionally, complicating the gameplay.
First of all, open the installation folder of aoe3de, I found a file named gamey.con in the startup folder and opened it with Notepad so that it can be edited. Then type ctrl+f to open the search mode, find alt-mouse2down, you will find two texts like lines 206 and 207 marked in this picture, delete the corresponding content and save, this annoying interface will not appear in the game span. Don’t forget to make a backup of the file!
