Zeus
- Starting with 10 favor is a bit outdated (and a bit boring) bonus. Instead, could give him -10% favor cost for recasting GPs. That might delay training the first myth unit
Hades
- 20% chance to get a shade. Why not make it every 5th human soldier death instead? I don’t like the randomness.
Kronos
- Losing myth units and siege units returns 20% of resources spent. This is not as great as it sounds because you don’t want to be losing your units. These are premium units that take a long time to train, which means if you are losing them, you are probably very behind already. Instead, it should reduce the cost of training those units by 10 or 15%, which would give you a true bonus from the beginning.
Gaia
- Starting with hero citizens is cool, but they are only 10% better than normal citizens. Her -25% cost to promote citizens to heroes is pretty useless since she has no access to Prometheus’ Theft of Fire upgrade (+20% work rate). It would take over 6 minutes of constant gathering for that hero citizen just to repay its cost (not counting the 2 favor), and with resources having greater value earlier in the game, I don’t see when you would ever promote them for an economic boost (excluding outliers such as very late game situations over 40min). You also don’t want to promote them while being raided because it takes so long that they will be dead before the animation finishes. The only niche reason I can think of would be if you are going to use them as forward builders to move a bit faster and survive a bit longer. A more interesting bonus could be an automatic promotion to hero citizens after gathering an X amount of resources (or wood from Gaia trees), or standing over lush for a certain period.
Also, Ra, Gaia and Oranos only have 3 unique bonuses, compared to 4 or 5 that the rest have. Could add a 4th minor bonus to help them out a bit. Ideas:
Ra: Empowered buildings burn enemy units in melee range for X dps. (enhances them with the power of the sun) Would provide a bit of early game protection.
Gaia: When a unit dies it creates a small lush patch for X minutes. (as it is decomposes back to the earth) Would help in fights, providing a bit of regen or speed to retreat.
Oranos: Units +10% pierce armor. (god of the sky makes enemy arrows less efficient) He lacks any minor God upgrades that provide pierce resistance.
