DLC civs should only be matched vs DLC owners on ranked

If I didnt buy DLC, I dont know about new civs, then I match with players with new civs, like japanese, I do not have the knowledge of his civ but he knows my civ. This put those who didnt pay for new dlcs and disadvantage. this is still pay to have advantage in ranked.

if i dont buy dlc i am limited to older civs which is enough for me. but since I still get matched with people using new civs, it still forces me to learn all those new civs that i dont own and i did not pay for. Ranked games should match players picking new civs only to those who own dlc.

Sounds like a you problem. If you didn’t buy the civs then fortunately for you there’s thousands of casted games and guides to them on youtube where you can learn about them otherwise as you get matched with them you’ll naturally learn what they do and how they play and can watch your replay after the game too.

Exactly, you don’t need to play a civ to know how to play against it. And there’s no point fragmenting the player base.
