Do not open on steam (PATCH 2.8)

I can not open the Game. It open the main menu, then I click on play and start charging but at the end, it send me back to steam.

Need some help!

you are not alone, this is quite common and can have multiple causes.
check logfiles and post what you find:
C:\Users<yourusername>\Games\Age of Empires 2 DE\logs
are you getting any error message? try to launch exe directly with steam in the background:
…\Steam\steamapps\common\AoE2DE\

I tried directlly and nothing different happened.
And no, it only get me back to steam, without any message.

I will check it out in logfiles.
