Moving Docks to Feudal would greatly improve the game.
Currently a non Dock opening can’t properly punish a Dock opening.
By the time Feudal aggression arrives, the advantage of the Dock opening is already to large.
Moving Docks to Feudal would make Fishing an optional mechanic, which could actually be punished by aggressive feudal play of the other Player.

it’s up to the aggressive player to play the port as well and depending on the map it can be punished very well or not but putting the dock at age 2 after the fishing nerf would simply destroy its interest

Your answer doesn’t make any sense.
Answering an economic opening with an economic opening is not aggressive.
Alternatively docks could be more expensive, theres zero impact of knocking down a dock as it is so cheap.
A 150 Wood second TC right at the start of age 2 would be plenty strong.
As a dock acts as an ultra cheap second tc it will always be viable. That’s the reason Hybrid maps are Dock centric.
That right now is not the case anymore.
Fishing right now is much better and it shouldn’t be nerfed any further
It may be the case in Boulder Bay which is justified, but on most hybrid maps fishing has already significantly nerfed and there are more options now to deal with it. I don’t even go for fishing anymore unless there is deep water fish involved.
- First option is age 1 aggression with spearman, or even 3 or 4 scouts, which is risky.
- Second option is early age2 aggression. Because fishing has a lower gather rate that means there is a bigger window to attack early before your oponent reaches age2 or before fishing starts to pay off.
- third one is play the long game, drop extra tcs and outscale. Fish runs out much quicker now, which means now there is the possibility of playing the longer game to outscale your oponent.
Also villagers gather from shoreline fish much quicker than fishing boats.
Each civ now is proficient in at least 1 of these options and can ignore water unless the map is boulder Bay or maybe nagari which are the only maps that have high emphasis in naval play in which case player shouldn’t be able to just ignore water.
