It’s hard for the Atlanteans to make a lot of Favors, and this is used a lot to produce heroes. It’s hard to actively use myth units like any other pantheon. Automaton requires a large number of them to demonstrate its ability properly. Does anyone use automatons viably?
Automaton is useful when you want to protect a remote area, but don’t want to pay attention to deal with any threat.
Otherwise, not so useful. Especially not good for main assault due to Automaton has low speed and the lack of special attack.

That in addition to getting smoked by heroes and the majority of other myth units sadly (unless you have them out numbered 2-3 and even then they can still sometimes lose).
I have been experimenting using them more since I generally prefer Caladria (that heal and slow is so good) but I think sometimes it’s an alright option (seems to go okay into Norse if they use mostly inf and have some Cheiroballista support to kill Hersirs/Godi) but Murmillos/Katapeltes are a safer option and can be herofied if you need that extra protection against Myth units.
