Nyx embodies the living night: the silence between stars, the hidden order of the cosmos, and the threshold between dream and reality. Her presence is calm yet overwhelming, shaping perception, obscurity, and what mortals believe they truly see.
Gameplay Intent
Nyx is about controlling information and positioning before conflict. Rather than simply denying vision, she dominates the flow of information itself. Through mobility, aerial presence, and the vast fields of sight generated by her Stellar Pillars, Nyx sees the battlefield earlier and farther than any other force. This informational advantage allows her to anticipate enemy movement, choose when to engage, and strike from advantageous positions. Her playstyle rewards anticipation, positioning, and precise timing over brute force.
What makes her distinct among the Abyssal Primordials
Nyx does not dominate by force. She dominates by deciding when and where a fight is even possible, often catching the enemy off guard and forcing them to react on unfavorable terms.
since we have atlanteans in game as they are - which are unfortunately mostly greek inspired - i personally LOVE the choice of Nyx (she is my by far most wanted major god for atlanteans personally!)
i like your description! but its a bit too vague to what you want to show how her gameplay would be like. at least for me.
what bonuses and GP would you give her?
*i am also really interested in Nyx cause of three simple things: - she is basically as primordial as Gaia and Oranus (if not older?), - she has a really cool theme which would let her stand out really well, - she is the nemesis of Zeus which i think is a cool apsect you could built on for a small campaign
Probably because they’re a Greek concept, as is Nyx.
We didn’t need Atlanteans, and we definitely don’t need a third civilization directly based on Greek Mythology. But since we already have Atlanteans, they’re a better fit for Nyx than a second Greeks-in-all-but-name civ.
i know they are since they have titans and gods from greek aswell as even iconic greek myth units…
It seems i understood it wrong since i thought OP suggested Nyx as a major god for atlanteans and not a third “greek-influenced” civ. i would be against this too but i highly support Nyx as a major god for Atlanteans and thats what i wrote in my opinion.
