Sorry that this is not a bug, but more than with any community, RTS games thrive on ranked play being available.
Please enable ranked, we do not need prizes yet but just an official ladder is so important in the early days of any RTS. We’ll also look forward to the official seasons, but please give us ‘meaningless’ ranked play!
