In campaign Sforza 3, the Enemy AI will say different dialogue depend on the player’s action. In my case, I built a castle and an army of Fire Ships.
The AI said something like “Try hides in your castle, my cannon will deal with it”, “Let see your Fire ships blow with my bombs”, so I expected the enemy will train Bombard Cannons and Demolition Ship, however, they train Condottiero and Galleon ONLY.
After the first wave of Condottiero and Galleon attack, the Enemy attack no more, just sitting in their base, only attack when the player gets close to them.
When they lost most of the military building, they finally started training a different units.
The gameplay was boring, this campaign was designed like a standard 1v1 game with a Mediterranean-like map, the AI will response to player’s decision, everything is good, but the AI performance ruined it.

Here’s how to reproduce the problem:
- Play the campaign Sforza 3
- Try different units and buildings, In my case, a Castle and Fire ships (Also the Genoese Crossbowman, Trebuchet, Bomdard Cannon , Light Cavalry, Galleon and Cannon Galleon, but the AI said nothing about these)
- Pay attention to how AI reacts to it, including dialogue messages.
- Attack and win the campaign.

Thank you for the report! I don’t suppose you have a replay file you can upload to OneDrive or Google Drive that I can pass to our Test team? The more information they have, the easier it will be to reproduce and address any potential issues.
I thought I don’t have it, but found it in replay folder now, I posted the link in the top.
I watched the replay, seen like the AI is not that inactive as just “Sitting”, they will still resist by sending a small group of Condottiero when I attack, but that is all, I don’t think it is how it designed to be.

- Is the issue still happening on the latest update (37650)?
If so, on what difficulty setting are you playing the mission? The difficulty setting will change how the computer reacts, so we’d like to get an idea of the behavior they’re using.
- Do you have a new save game or replay as of the latest build?

Yes, I think so. The AI has seen a bit more aggressive now (or maybe I became rusty since I haven’t play AOE in two weeks), AI now with more unit like Elite Skirms and Hand Cannons. But, their decision still not related to the dialogues (still no Demo Ships to counter my Fire Ships or Cannons for my castle)

Good to hear devs are working on campaign bugs, I always think fixing campaigns is something that in less priority (and it should), thanks for the hard work to make the game better!
