Reproduction Steps:
i downloaded a few mods and tried now i find them all contain this file “empires2_x2_p1.dat” under my user profile “Age of Empires 2 DE\76561198378296360\mods\local\MBA\resources_common\dat”.
I wanted to try submitting my own mod but when i zip the .dat file into .zip and upload it give error saying “Error submitting mod! Please verify your data and try again.”
what am I doing wrong?

I have just started getting this error, i do not know wtf is wrong. I could upload fine yesterday and this morning and now this ■■■■ happens

I am getting this exact message when trying to submit mine. The zip file only has the following:
resources->_common->dat->empires2_x2_p1.dat

info.json
No idea what I’m supposed to be doing now. I only changed Elite Teutonic Knight pierce armor from 2 to 3 and it’s movement speed from 0.7 to 0.8. Didn’t touch anything else so I have no idea what could be wrong and why the website doesn’t accept this.
It seems the newest patch may have OFFICIALLY done what you were trying to mod in. Have a look
They did the speed buff indeed. Which will hopefully be enough for the TK to become useful. Got my mod working eventually, the website just had its own problems. Happens from time to time I guess.

yea instead of upload via website, I publish in game instead with logged in account. in game give much less issue, still has problems like crashing etc tho
