Event stage unable to unlock..?

The event manager refuses to unlock the next stage of the event for me, even after I reinstall the game; the stage timer just disappears and I could only watch as the event overall countdowns.

100% of the time / matches I play (ALWAYS)

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

Open the game when the timer for event stage countdown is near 0
Just watch it and do nothing
Maybe install some mods that involve data modding/cheats…? Not sure how relevant this is but it might be a factor…?

EXPECTED RESULT

It will unlock the event stage when the countdown hits 0…?
