Final Patch Idea: Nerfing the Ottomans

Dear Developers,

Could you kindly release one final patch—just one, nothing more—focused on nerfing the Ottomans? Removing the Mosque card would already be a great improvement, but if possible, more adjustments would be even better (haha). Increasing the cost of Spahis and Nizams, as well as extending the training time for Bombards to match that of European Heavy Cannons (since Bombards train much faster), would be a big help.

The game is in a great state, but these tweaks to balance the Ottomans would make it perfect and would greatly benefit the community. Thank you!

I think the Mosque Construction card needs looking at.

Before DE, the Palace Intrigue techs were cheaper, gave less value, and only had two techs. I believe Mosque Construction used to be -60% cost and the Palace Intrigue techs were worth 2500 resources for a discount of 1500 recourses. Now Mosque Construction is -50% cost and the Palace Intrigue techs are worth 6700 resources for a discount of 3350 resources. The card now receives more than double the value despite having the discount nerfed.

If Mosque Constructions was nerfed to -25% cost, it would still discount the techs by 1675 resources. -30% cost would be a 2010 resource discount. All these numbers don’t even take into account the villager upgrades which also receive a discount.

A single mercenary shouldnt be that effective (see purple, just Giant Grenadiers)

In general Soldado kind of unit with AoE at standard attack and siege at range ara laming af.

Native Scouts are a joke with 25 damage vs them on imperial age. And of course ERKs were a menace on Balance :roll_eyes:
