So let me explain the problem. I just re-installed AOE 2 DE recently to play with friend but my game is freezing.
I think the freezes depends on how much player there are and more especialy how much AI there are.
For exemple I did a game with 4 more friends with a pop limit of 500 and it started to freeze when we were at castle age. It started with little freeze and fast forward to catch up time but more we advanced in the game and more frequently and longer the freezes were. Sometimes the time between the fast forward and another freeze was so close I couldn’t do a thing.
Another exemple : I played a game with 3 more friends and 4 AI. In that situation the freeze started earlier and were more frequent.
This problem is also present in single player unfortunatly.
I tried to change my settings but nothing change and it keeps happening.
Here is my setup :
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-core Processor 3,59GHz
RAM : 32,0Go
GPU : Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER
My internet is in optical fiber.
