Game crashes on clicking imperial age upgrade

ISSUE EXPERIENCED

Game crashed twice on clicking(I used tech hotkey) Imperial Age upgrade in TC during RM 1v1 ranked match.
Same thing happened vs AI.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

• Twice on 8/8/2021 in ranked match, once vs AI.
• Less than 25% of the time / matches I play (RARELY)

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

1. Play 1v1s
2. Go up to imp
3. Game crashes when clicking imp in TC (I used tech hotkey)

EXPECTED RESULT

Game won’t crash

Same thing happened today as well. This time I removed age up hotkey. Just clicking the imp upgrade makes the game crash in about 2 seconds.
Do I have to play feudalVoy or some Castle Age only challenge now ?

Today I did some tests and it looks like a memory issue. DE was taking more than 3GB ram in post imp cases (created with aegis and stuff). When ram runs out it crashes.

I was able to get the game to post imp by running antiMalware (it removed some PUPs), reinstalling and doing windows updates. Don’t know if any of those fixed it or whether the one match I tested and the game didn’t crash was a fluke.

Is it normal for DE to take more than 3GB ram?
