Issue:
When I click the game to launch it, I get a permissions pop up from an installer, then I grant it permission, and a few seconds later I get an old school windows pop-up saying the app failed to launch, error (0xlx) (see screenshot)
Reproduction Steps:
Here’s how to reproduce the problem:
- Launch Aoe2DE
- Give permission to the installer popup window
- Notice a “failed to launch” pop up
I rebooted my PC and that didn’t help. However going to settings > apps features > advanced for AoE2 I was able to reset the app (repair did nothing) and it launches fine now.
