Game locks up computer, computer crashes with blue screen of death and "machine check exception error"

Game Version: latest, January 2020

  • Build (####) intel i7 9700k, gtx 1070, 16 gig ram,
  • Platform (Steam or Microsoft Store) steam

Issue: whenever I am playing the game after a short while the game will consistently freeze and lock up my computer and give me blue screen of death, which restarts computer. code is always the same its : machine check exception. that’s the only code it gives me on the blue screen.
