Issue:
First of all: I have the game in PC too (lower potency compared to the PS5), so I can notice the difference on how fluid the game feels. I play on PS5 with mouse and KB.
-
The performance mode of the game only delivers 60fps and when there are a lot of action in the game the fps drops a lot, especially in team matches with 6 or more players feels very very laggy in the mid/late game: There are situations where sometimes it drops to 1-10fps.
-
When playing mouse + kb, it works fine, but still feels a little bit laggy (I don’t know if this could be issue of the game, console or mouse itself [I’m using same mouse than in PC] ).
Trigger Event:
-
When playing team games and there are a lot of action (players throwing god powers like: Meteor, Tempest, Inferno, Implode, Great Flood, etc., or/and a lot of units fighting or/and a lot of buildings) the FPS drops a lot (1-10fps), and the game becomes almost unplayable (Almost impossible [or very very hard] to move the pointer to select/task units). I notice this problem also occurs when playing 1v1 games, but as the ‘fps drop’ is less,. I can still keep playing, but the game experience isn’t optimal.
-
The mouse works, but the movement doesn’t feel smooth as on PC. (I have the mouse with a 500Mhz polling rate, since PS5 can’t handle 1KHz well).
I’m pretty sure this is game performance issue, and since I have the game already set on ‘performance’ mode, I would like to ask if you can:
- Add more options to the ‘graphics’ settings to deactivate/low some graphic stuff to help to get a better performance and stable fps in the game.
- Add a ‘ultra performance’ mode, or something like that to have a better performance and stable fps.
- Unlock 120FPS mode, with low/med graphics details/features?.
- Check if the mouse ‘issue’ is a game ‘issue’ and fix it (because with another games the mouse works fine/better).
Repro Steps:
- Play a 3v3 (or with more players) multiplayer match and see how the game performs when there are a lot of action in the game.
- Do the same of step 1, with mouse and kb and compare how the game feels against a PC with similar (or a little bit less) characteristics (potency, resolution, mouse dpi, etc).
