Games that go late with lots of projectiles fired will slow the game to almost a halt for all players in match

Lag in multiplayer games with projectile based enemies has exceptionally worse performance than before the 3 kingdoms update. This was not always the case, and games made with the same settings are now drastically worse for every player involved.

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Pick late game enemies on a map like black forest that fire lots of projectiles

  2. Set the handicap up so they make lots of units

  3. Watch the game grind to a halt for all players involved in the match. When it happens, without exception every player loses control.

In this video, you can even see that typing is non-functional as some packets for keys are discarded and it is super delayed. I type ~90wpm for my own thoughts and this is how fast it goes.

The game had over 1900 units, so it’s normal that the game slowed down at that point, even with modern hardware. The simple reason is that the game engine was reaching its limits. You should never expect to have excellent performance from that point onward

Nope it’s not normal at all as it never did this for years prior to 3k update. Your comment is utter nonsense.
