ISSUE EXPERIENCED
DESCRIBE THE ISSUE IN DETAIL (below). LIMIT TO ONE BUG PER THREAD.
I joined a 1v1 multiplayer ranked game in the queue. On the loading screen, my game crashed. When I reopened the game to queue up again, I got a message “This account recently disconnected from a matchmaking game early. There is a delay before matchmaking queues are available. you can re-join the queue in xdays xhrs xmin xsec”
I am not sure if this is a bug or intended behavior of this feature, but to penalize a player for the game crashing (I already lose ELO when the game crashes in the loading screen, do I need more penalties in the form of a timeout for your game being unstable?) seems sloppy.
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
How often does the issue occur? CHOSE ONE; DELETE THE REST!
This has happened 2 out of 3 time. Will update if it happens again.
- 66% of the time / matches I play (OFTEN)
REPRODUCTION STEPS
List CLEAR and DETAILED STEPS we can take to reproduce the issue ourselves… Be descriptive!
Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:
- Crash your game in the loading screen to start a game. You can increase the chances of crashing the game by installing any Age of Empires 2 Definitive Edition update and simply trying to play the game. This is not consistent.
EXPECTED RESULT
What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present? I am not sure what I was expecting, this might be a bug, or it might not be a bug, but it seems like a poor feature integration to penalize players for DE crashing.
