Normally Camels are used against Knights, a match-up where they are able to force engagements with their base speed of 1.45 compared to Knights 1.35. LC can outrun camel but they are only .05 faster meaning the LC have to run almost directly away to avoid Camels. Scout Calvary are actually faster than LC with 1.55 which give them much more freedom to maneuver around Camels Scouts. Beyond massing before Castle Age, the only to reason to make Camel Scouts is to counter Scout Calvary a unit which is less expensive and can easily outrun you.

There is another problem with the Gurjaras. When we start in castle or imperial age we have a camel instead of a light cavalry and this camel have less line of sight than the light cavalry. Could you add better line of sight for Gurjara camel line in castle and imperial age please.

Just make Scout Cav slower, they need the nerf and it is very unintuitive how they go down in speed after upgrading.

We could just give the initial Camel rider increased LOS similar to how only initial scouts have access to auto scout.
Scouts are not OP they cost 80 food (very expensive in feudal) and can be completely zoned out by walls.
this wouldn’t make them weaker in that sense, it would just make spears and camel riders a more effective counter and make it harder for them to chase far away vils. The stats also disagree with you, scouts openings have a 53% win rate compared to any other type of opening, much higher than archers or M&A.
Also, if you follow the pro scene at all, you should know Hera only talks in extremes, “Knights are useless”, “we never see scouts” and “Mayans are unplayable now” are all things Hera has said despite the fact that he will use all three if the situation calls for it. At the highest level of the game scouts are still the 2nd most popular opening and maintain a healthy 50% winrate with Magyars being the best civ at that level with a 60% winrate. Of course this is a small sample size since we are only looking at the best 200 or so players.
