My playgroup has been tinkering with a regional additions mod. This was universally liked. Tell me why it’s broken/wrong
Cant tell if bait… ?
rather than squire, give them the speed boost starting darkage
I think Squire on top is a little too much…maybe a 20% flat speed boost rather than their 15% is fine?
I’d be fine with giving them Squires, but the current bonus would need to be pushed back by 5% to compensate.
This simply makes the Celtic Halbs same fast as Lithuanian Halbs without any drawback (Fully upgrades with 10% faster speed) and combine with also top Siege, just too strong. while Lithuanians lack both Blast Furnace and Plate Mail Armor to offset that, leave the Lithuanian Halbs as the fastest but with Drawbacks while Celts as second fastest but with the missing technologies that Lithuanians lack.
Just buff Tower Shields to +2/2 armor
Hmm, that makes it less worrisome for me. They still wouldn’t have the fastest pikes which would be the biggest worry IMO about braking infantry speed. I didn’t realize just how fast lith trash was.
Probably need to keep Condos at +15% spd, or they’ll end up faster than Elite Eagles.
I would not give squires to them but i would make it start from dark age at 10% and scale up to 15 in feudal and cap at 20% in castle. That way their champs would seriously be faster then generici instead of a meager 5%, and they would have fastest halbs.
Lithuanians have faster halbs that miss blast furnace yes, but they also have Miles better other trash units with tower shield +faster skirms, and Winged hussars, and are also a much stronger civ overall, so no real problem there.
Furthermore, i do not hink celts problems relies in their infantry, but in the fact that they only have infantry and infantry is a weak area of expertise in this game, since in 1vs 1 you do not see SO
Celts lack Squires because they get related civilization bonus for free and earlier. That’s the concept. Ask for a buff to the civ. bonus instead.
You don’t want them to have Squires available, to pay for and spend Barracks research time.
