Issue:
Edit - This same issue is happening on both: Gullinbursti and Dwarven Mine.
When casting Gullinbursti on terrain that contains Water Tiles (a set of objects in the editor), it allows casting the Gullinbursti like normal, but does not actually summon anything. It only places an impact crater / explosion with no Gullinbursti.
The same tiles do also block buildings from being placed with God Powers (like Asgardian Bastion, Healing Spring, Plenty Vault, Underworld Passage, Well of Urd, Sentinels, Lure).
But, the tiles do not prevent Gaia Trees from growing. Nor do they block using Walking Woods / Walking Berry Bushes appropriately on trees / berry bushes grown / already on the tiles locations. Nor do they prevent summoning / multiplying creatures with Great Hunt. Spider Lair also seems to cast and function as intended.
Also, Carnivora can’t be cast on top of them nor on top of terrain you can’t build on (like SPC mining / Ice / etc). If the tiles cover enough terrain, Plage of Serpents can’t be cast in the area where these objects are either.
Also, Tartarian Gate works just fine on the tiles. It’s not blocked, and yet still summons the gate as intended.
Trigger Event:
Testing Gullinbursti while messing around with cheats in a separate scenario, I noticed Gullinbursti couldn’t be cast at a spot. I thought it was the walkable but not buildable terrain (SPC Mining), but it was actually the Water Tile Closed object that is causing this issue.
Repro Steps:
- In a scenario, place a Town Center.
- Place some Water Tile Closed.
- Set the of the Player to Freyr.
- Test the Scenario.
- Cast the Gullinbursti God power on regular terrain, and it’ll work. Cast the Gullinbursti on the Water Tile Closed, and it’ll cast, but not summon Gullinbursti. This does consume the use of the God Power when attempting to cast.
