no, the game focusses on high and late medieval not late antiquity.

Unlikely. They seem to focus on civs that were starting around 800-900 CE now. Quite honestly I always felt AoE II was very weird. It was like they originally planned for the setting of the game being Roman antiquity to early middle ages with names like Franks, Teutons and Goths, but then half way through decided they wanted to include even the late middle ages in the time frame.

Not any Goths, Huns, Celts nor Vikings. Only if there is a very large separate addition about the Dark Ages.

agree, I love AOE2, but this always turned me off a bit. Same with celts, you expect something like Asterix, and get instead braveheard. Huns were also not fitting.
