Hello!!

I’d like to open a conversation following Nili’s video “I’m working with Microsoft again!” to have a Grand Slam-type Calendar with 4 o 5 different big events that focus on the different styles to play AOE2.
Something in the lines of:

Jan-Mar 3 vill Start Land Leading up to ¿KOTD/Hidden Cup? (Our Australian Open)
Apr-Jun 9 vill Start mixed leading up to Warlords (our Rolland Garros)
Jul-Sept Team Games leading to BOA (our Wimbledon) Also, maybe this encourages new teams to goin the AOE2 Scene
Sept - Dec Empire Wars leading to RedBull (USA open)

This doesn’t mean we get rid of other S-tier tournaments, but we place them in these brackets. Like NAC this year was 9 vill so it should be between April and June and maybe it grants a place for Warlords without the qualifiers.

Do you think this could be usefull?

I like the idea of changing event type each quarter but this exact split might not be possible. Redbull aren’t doing events every year and Memb said he’s not inclined to do BOA anytime in the near future. You’re looking at July-Dec being vacant in that case. This could get more complicated if we get newer tournament formats or most of the hosts prefer one particular format (like say T90, Memb both want to do just 9 vill start events in a particular year)

It would be fun to have a Budapest-style tournament. The idea has floated around in my head for a little bit now, but I don’t have any sort of pull or resources to make it happen.
