I think my official guess is going to be:
Denmark and The PLC/Poland.
I think that’s just the most likely.

I am going for a Middle-Eastern dlc with Persians as the obvious popular choice and Oman as the less known one.
Personally I think they are going to repeat the same pattern as previous dlc, one popular/highly requested civ and one lesser known civ.

Speak for yourself. It would be nice but not a priority at the moment.
I really hope they don’t add south american civs, it’ll just be another spanish clone, even though mexico is cool just look at their units names, completely generic. There are plenty of civs that are far more relevant rather than just colonies of spain.

Why Canada? They didn’t revolt though they are in the game as a revolt (realistically more of a self rule dominion). What would make the as a valid civ for the game? Just curious!
Morocco always seems a solid choice though I’d hold hope for them being as part of a new set of mechanic rather than being lumped into euro or (sub saharan) Africans

Canada would be an interesting Nation States civ between the french and english colonies, but really quite late in the timeline.

I think they’re going to go with Asia. Korea and Siam/Thailand.

I think they will finish completing the European continent with Denmark and Poland (in addition to adding more maps and real houses).
After that, more expansions will come from other places in the world such as Oceania, the Pacific, and they will return to expand even more to America and Asia at some point. These last 2 are very underrepresented.
Part of Africa and Madagascar would also be missing.
That’s what I believe, but what I would like is for them to finish completing the African continent.

Before turning fulll vitrol, let’s think the problem from a logical point of view.
- Swedes were planned from the start but have to be scrapped when the game shifted its focus towards the American ™ colonial age.
- Same with italians.
3 & 4) Inca and Malta are, in some way, some of the earlier comunity “memes”. If there were aztecs, why not Inca, and Malta is mearly a take in one of the first mods of the game. - USA is kinda interesting, as it was somewhat understood that all revolutions in Warchiefs resulted in the USA despite the diferent national leaders, as they had acess to gatling guns and the -CSA Virginia- USA Ironclads. Perhaps is was a mere logic of completionism behind making it a real faction and not merely a revolutionary subfaction.
- Mexico is perhaps a mix of all the above factors. Most of the spanish speaking comunity in AoE comes from Mexico, USA was a precedent, etc.
Thus, if I were to suposse, Poles are a faction which at some point would have been conisder before the european ideas were descarded, they are also favorites of the comunity and everybody love the Winged Hussar Memes.
Korea and Persia often pop up in fan discussion since asian dynasties.
Habsburg, despite what devs said, are often broguth into discussions about fixing the german lack of identity.
All the rest are sadly baseless.

I woud love to see Mapuche, Haida, Maori, Merina, Argentina and Brazil.
