Has 1v1 elo been inflating faster since auto farm?

I think previously my elo was around 1250 to 1300, now i haven’t played for a while and comeback, my elo actually rose to 1400, idk i got better by not pkaying this game or the game is easier now. I also realised the top players elo are also rising so the whole ladder is rising. Before top players are usually 2k3 to 2k5, with the best at 2k6. Now 2k3 is not even considered top player, top players are 2k5 to 2k7, while the highest is approaching 3k. .

Does this have something to do with auto farm? I realised with auto farm i wouldn’t be floating so much wood constantly and not having enough farms. The hussar / infantry spam is also much easier, previously i tend to forget making farms after mid game, and then suddenly put down a lot when food is limited and wood is floating. Now my eco seems much more balanced

I dont think it is because of auto farm.

I see the following potential reasons as for why the Elo of top players has risen:

  1. a lot new players came to the ladders, and most of them are very low Elo
  2. a lot of above average players (1600s Elo ?) left the ladder, so weaker players take their place and are stomped by 2000s Elo
  3. The meta changed in a way that increased the disparity between players, so top players are that much better now
  4. Top players have always been that much better than the average players, but it takes some time for this skill difference to translate into Elo difference.

Auto farm might lead to 1. I dont see auto farms leading to anything else. Auto farm makes the game easier for everyone using it, especially aggressors, but should not help high Elo players more than mid Elo players.

Reasons 2 or 3 might have potentially come as a consequence to the new greedy-FC-into-UU strategies (Phosphoru style). Not sure about whether 4 is a thing.
