Help Request- Getting different functions that reference the same icons to reference different icons

I noticed that the icons on the scoreboard and the icons in the unit/building selection were scaled down so hard i would have to squint in order to see any difference between the civilizations half the time. I had an idea to make a mod to make custom simplified logos for each of the major gods in the game, a yellow lightning bolt would mean zeus, a blue trident would be poseidon and a red helm would mean hades. I would add the other gods and embellish the logos once I figured out how to get the mod to work.

I tried to make it so that the mod changes the civ icons next to the SCORE in the top right of a match and the units and buildings in the bottom in the unit/building descriptions. I made three icons so far for each of the greek gods. (I discovered 2 files I had to replace for each god, the unit/building references one file and the score referenced the other file) Putting them in worked but unfortunately it seems the SCORE icons reference the same files that the civ select and loading screen icons reference in the lobby. Is there a way I could have the SCORE ICONS reference this file only, and not the civ select and loading screen reference them. Thank you.
