Hi guys!
After I saw that the new editor have triggers for terrain I got excited for the new creations we can make. I thought about volcanic eruptions, floods, craters, and on…
So, I went to test it.
The trigger (terrain: paint water circular) just works. The downside is: the painted area will erase everything that was there, like the image bellow (1):
But I was looking to make something more realistic, where instead of the things just disappear, they will go under water!(making the water slowly take over the land and everything on, like a flood) I put some water and elevated the terrain, so when the trigger activate the water would be there. Then I tried the trigger:
effect > Terrain: change height cirular (setted area at side of the islad, 18 radius, height -0.5, remove water: off) and got the part 2 of the image.
Somehow part of the land didn’t go down and the water couldn’t fill the place, it seems…This problem occur when you elevate an area under water and try lower in sequence, even by the same amount (part 3 of the image).
I can work around this problem, in editor, using the smooth tool. By this I can make the effect I wanted (part 4 of the image).
So…there is someone who knows how to make this work by triggers? (make things go underwater without the land bugging, by triggers).
Thanks for your time!
