Hi Devs: More Circles! Plus Range Stats in HUD + Some bugs

Some of the following is a QoL request perhaps and some are the bugs where certain ranges are missing.
The recent improved stats in both the main panel and expanded panel are great. Meanwhile, I will summarize this as a list of what I would say are two main missing pieces:

  1. Show Range Numbers (in tiles) in the expanded stats for everything, including “secret” stats.
  2. Show “circles” to visualize all the ranges for everything.

RANGE STATS
In the main panel, or expanded panel, can we have the following ranges added since they do exist secretly.

  1. Line of Sight: especially for towers, but really every unit and building. You can find the LoS number on AoE World site as seen below.
    01 - Circles

Specifically for:

  • (a) All Units: such as the scout above.
  • (b) All buildings: such as an outpost.
  1. Range of Special Effect: (i.e. the tiles radius for the following buildings or units)
  • Network of Castles: For a English Outpost, the effect is a different range than the LoS (I think)
  • Yam Network aura
  • Seagate speed aura
  • Medical Centers healing aura (5 tiles)
  • Tranquil Venue radius
  • Malian dock speed aura
  • Russian Siege Workshop Discount aura from Landmark
  • Aachen chapel aura
  • Kuraltai: (e.g. in the patch notes for the latest release, “radius increased from 7.5 to 10 tiles.” This number should be in the expanded panel)
  • Deer Stones aura radius
  • Fort of Huntress stealth Aura
  • Granary: (Also for this one, would be great if in tooltip it clarified whether the farmer or just a piece of farm needs to be in the circle and a buff icon on that farmer or farm)
  • Tollbooth radius for taxes
  • Chinese Extra Materials repair radius
  • Fulani Corral Radius
  • Abbey of Kings (7.5 tiles but should show this in stats)
  • High Trade House Gold Aura radius range
  • Hunting Cabin Gold Aura radius range
  1. Range of Special Ability: (in tiles for the following units)
  • Monk healing aura
  • Ottoman Field Work healing aura (if different?)
  • English King healing aura
  • Monk Relic Wololo: great circle but the numerical stat is unknown in the stats panel
  • Proselytize: It is further than the standard Relic Wololo range. What is the range in tiles?
  • Khan Whistling Arrows range in tiles
  • Warrior Monk’s buff radius
  • Mehter’s aura radius
  • Camel’s buff/nerf effect radius for infantry and cavalry
  • Spirit Way Dynasty Death buff bonus radius (i.e. how nearby does a “nearby unit” need to be?)

CIRCLES FOR VARIOUS RANGES

(1) Units with Buff Circles:
For every range, if we could have visual circles or “range lines” that would be very helpful. They could be “soft” or only show up when you select an individual unit or maybe if you hover over the stats. We wouldn’t want it to be distracting, but available to visualize.

  • Monks Healing: Like the Inspire circle shows up when you hover over the button, have the healing circle appear when you hover over the heal button.

  • Monks Proselytize: Another circle please

  • Kings healing aura

  • Ottoman healing auro for field work (if different)

  • Khan’s Whistling Arrows Aura circle

  • Mehter aura (if that is not already there)

  • Warrior Monk’s buff aura circle

  • Camel’s buff/nerf effect radius for infantry and cavalry

  • Zhuge Nu buff radius

(2) Archers Ranges Arcs:
We don’t visualize the range for archers, but actually there are elaborate ranges for siege and boats which are NOT circles but direction arcs and lines. e.g. see my attempt with the archer’s photoshop▼▼▼

Notice this could apply only if you select an individual archer. Multiple archers could be like multiple siege as below where the range goes away.

(3) Circles for Building Ranges:

  1. Keep Emplacements: Most important is the extra ranges in keeps and outposts for emplacements and various weapons. (Would be nice if a color coding system was workable, such as blue is always springald, etc.)

  2. Outpost Emplacement & Garrison Ranges: When you upgrade, it shows the larger range, but not the lower range. [Also note the bug where it is showing the bows individually instead of with (x) multiplier.]

  1. Stone Towers: Do not have the range circle at all.

  2. Many of the landmarks are all screwed up with not even one range visible e.g.:

  3. New Delhi houses (Reinforced Foundations) do not have range circles either.
    Also, note the arrows are listed individually as duplicates rather than with the (x) multiplier.

Nice suggestions for QoL Changes. However I would like to point out that some of your points already in-game. I will give you a few examples not an exhaustive list (see the videos below). The toll range for Malians (the dashed line when placing the outpost is the attack range and the solid line big circle is the toll range, when already build it only shows the big circle for the toll range; Network of citadels for English, this is similar to Malians except for example your TC will show both circles even when already built. Aachen chapel shows the range when there is a Prelate inside but not when empty unfortunately, also when you are placing it.

Or maybe you were suggesting that the tooltip mentions the exact valuefor the radius ( a radius of 10 for the toll) rather than just showing indicators? In practice you need the indicators when placing the outpost no matter what the number is and even if you know it. Sure it would be cool to have all info presented in-game but there are so many things and details that are hard top put.
