Hidden Indian Yield Bonus

I saw a comment in a thread saying india has a yield bonus on wood and lo and behold it exists under ypAge0IndiansSpecialTechs

<effect type="Data" action="Gather" amount="1.50" subtype="Yield" unittype="Tree" relativity="Assign">

I have never seen this listed under any indian bonus and I cant seem to find any reference to it, even in TAD

Does anyone have any idea on if this was a DE thing or was there semblance of this back in TAD as well?

Reddit on Black Forest reight??

They had it on TAD, where Mango groves were affected too, mangos arent anymore in DE sadly.

I didnt know it either until last years of TAD times. I discovered it via a wiki comment somewhere. I think it was a @dansil92 one.

yeah but that is strange that its in TAD, i cant seem to find any reference to it in game files, made harder still since the “yield” terminology didnt even exists in TAD game files so if it does exists they implemented it some other way I guess

It exists on TAD, I don’t recall exactly how it is coded but its either in IndiaAge0 or the india villager. 450 wood per 300w tree, I tested it in scenarios to confirm.

Yea, its always been that way.

C’est aussi pour cela que la recherche d’amélioration de récolte de bois était disponible que à l’age 3 au marché vu que de base le bonus de bois était déjà là.

They are 2 different bonus:

1 - They get first 2 wood market upgrades

2 - Trees last 1.5x longer (450 wood vs 300)

This thread is about number 2

That’s kinda huge, I just tested and Indians do actually get +50% tree yield baseline. Shocked it’s not written down anywhere, makes Rajputs and Mahouts/Siege Eles a lot cooler to invest in late-game.

Ok confirmed, it is tied to the india villager on TAD under the work rate for trees in protoy

@AnghusKhan Now the question is, HC cards boosting yields, affect over base 300 or over 450?? For both Haude and Indians.

Also, the speed chopping wood is the same, just trees are deleted slower, so how that changes on rajput/mahouts investment?? In lategame Indians need the infinite wood crates

It would depend if the card bonus acts additively or multiplicatively. worth investigating because if it is multiplicative it would make those cards significantly better than for other civs.

it uses the relativity assign so it should be the new base, so other card would be boosting yield from 450 instead of 300.

This is unique to india it seems since Haud’s bonus is basepercent meaning other boost still works from base, though that might be a design decision since haud has a higher yield bonus (1.75) and has a 300% yield boost card

Do lakota have extra yiekd for haubting as defaul too? I dont remember if they moved part of the effect from some card to civ bonus as Haude got.

If so, I guess its additive too tho

Fun fact,
The yield bonus was only coded into the game for India
Therefore , it was hardcoded to only function on trees. This got changed with DE to work on all resources.

yeah lakota gets a 10% yield on hunts as a bonus

there is also a weird bonus on mines that both Haud and Lakota gets through the tribal marketplace, the files says its 10% but on testing its 21%, dont know how that works

Checked: It is the same for India, +45 wood for 300w trees, getting a total of 495w
