People are complaining about house of lancaster on all skill levels.
I have been thinking about some changes and would like your opinions.
I’m just throwing in random numbers just to give an idea.
With these changes i think there will be more options and choices to play House Of lancaster.
Manors:
Same cost - (change:) Generate 85 food, 60 wood per minute.
build limit 2.
Tech change: Condensed Land Practices
Advancements in feudal land distribution practices increase the build limit of Manors by +2 and their health by +200.
Available in the Feudal Age (II)
Tech change: Open Field System
Advancements in feudal land distribution practices increase the build limit of Manors by +2 and their health by +300.
Available in the Feudal Age (III)
Tech Change: Scutage
The Lord of Lancaster levies a tax on all vassals to fund war efforts. Manors generate 50 gold per minute.
Available in the Imperial Age (IV)
These changes mean you have a build limit of 2 manors per age wich will let players decide more options, like playing aggressive or second town center.
Next up are the landmarks, everyone is picking the same landmarks. This would make the other landmarks a more viable choice and make different gameplay styles viable and more interesting gameplay and decision making.
My ideas:
Lancaster Castle:
Defensive Landmark that can do a one-time muster of units from Manors in each Age.
Grants Manors +500 health
Added: and the ability to garrison inside manors (5 spots).
just like the village from china, without arrowslits!
This also means you can place them at different locations to protect villagers (gold, stone, wood etc..)
This means only the castle shoots arrows and if you get raided you can put your vils in the manors to hide. But all the shooting manors is a bit too much, which means you also have to make units to defend.
Abbey of Kings:
Heals all nearby friendly units that are out of combat by +6 every 1 seconds.
Ordain up to 4 Lords of Lancaster, powerful melee leaders which increase the max health of nearby military units by +5% each. Queues production of a free Lord of Lancaster upon completion.
Add: Grants earls guards +5% move speed and +5% damage.
Add: When a lord of lancaster is stationary (not moving) heals all friendly units by +1 health each second.
The White Tower (in the current state it doesn’t give you unique bonusses)
Acts as a Keep with all the behaviors, technologies, and bonuses.
Add: Ability to train Earls Guards.
Add: Grants Earls Guards +5% move speed and +5% damage
Add: Produce Earls Guards 50% faster from all production buildings.
Add: Earl Guards are 10% cheaper to produce
Add: Number of lords produced from abbey of kings increased by (+1 or +2).
Add: Increases the maximum damage granted by a House Unified to (+1 or +2).
Add: Ability to research Throwing Dagger Drills in castle age within the white tower.
Berkshire Palace
Acts as a Keep with increased health and powerful incendiary arrows. All weapons have 14.5 tiles of range.
Increases the maximum damage granted by a House Unified to +6.
Add: Number of lords produced from abbey of kings increased by (+1 or +2).
Add: Grants Earls Guards +5% move speed and +5% damage.
Add: Earl Guards are 10% cheaper to produce
Yeoman:
Synchronized Shot:
Change: One time ability per individual Yeoman.
Tech imperial age (IV)
Synchronized Archers (cost 500 wood 700 gold) - give the abilty a cooldown of 120 seconds.
