How about fishing ships pop reduced to half?

Atleast for malay, although farmers are the backbone of any society the shore countries only live on fisheries they go huge into sea than the farmers, so fishing ships must have a pop less than the farmers please give fishing ships half pop.

Malay UU already cost half pop,why remove that unique aspect?

you can make double unique aspects like armenians is doing.

After Gillnets, fishing ships collect faster from fish traps than farmers do from farms. Also start out more wood-efficient than farms. So fishing ships really don’t need their pop space to be halved (Especially not for Malay, who have cheaper fish traps with additional food on them). The advantages of farms over fish traps is more the convenience and safety factors, and the lower up-front cost. Establishing a fishtrap economy takes a lot more micro than establishing a farming economy, and less res up front.

No Brother, its all the way opposite you have taken, you get gillnets in castle age, after imperial they have no value at all the more the ships the less the food and they are always deleted for occupying the space.

And more over except in first 20 minutes which is the early castle age, no one even focus about fishing ships and traps because of the pop issue and late castle age 25 mins to 35 mins they only focus on farming they get wheel barrow, hand cart, horse collar, heavy plow and crop rotation all the benefits they are way faster than fishing ships and occupy less pop.

We need more less pop even .25 pop for fishing ship ideal in the way what I consider is.

There was once upon a time that dravidians were consider to show at least increase the efficiency of fishing using the Town Center due to mismatch of techniques it was avoided again.

I conclude that I consider although efficiency is poor the coastal countries swarm on fisheries so they need less pop for fishing ships.

Even the Bengali UT Mahayana doesn’t affect fishing boats.

You should play on maps with pounds (like Four Lakes, Black Forest). There players fish boom whenever they have the opportunity, because fish traps with gillnets gather faster food than non-Slav farms.

They also hae a better wood-to-food ratio i you lack crop rotation. And even if you have the tech (Makays do), fish booming is better because the “wood loss” of fish traps compared to farms is minor compared to the better gather rate of food.

If all civs have half pop fishing ships, then in maps with pounds whoever has the bigger shore size or is the better fish boomer wins. And if not all civs have it, then the civ with it probably auto-wins in the 1v1 late game due to having +30 to +40 army pop.

I’d prefer fishing ships stay at 1 unit pop but behave like villagers, to repair war ships and build ports.
