Oh my God… what was the matter with that guy? It seems there had been bad blood between you and him before… but I can’t for the life of me figure how such aggresion against you was warranted. There was also someone speaking in spanish, and quotes that pointed to an inexistant account… well yeah, some weird things are happening around here.
I’ve attracted a lot of haters partly because I have a big mouth, but also because I’m simply doing my own thing and honestly speaking my mind, even if it goes against the majority opinion. Other haters hate me simply because of perceived slights against them.

Well, sometimes I get in trouble, but nothing permanent. I’m a lot more reserved and standoffish in real life. Basically, a pushover. A doormat. You get the idea.
Well, sometimes they think that something I said or did - or didn’t say or do - is somehow offensive to them, when really, it has no relation at all.
Now I get it. That was basically the issue with the guy from your thread - perceived lies from your part with the Hohenzollern thing.

That and other things too. But he seems to have it in his head that I’m a dishonest person, when everyone who knows me would say the exact opposite.
It really does. The only time I’ve really stood up for myself in person was in 7th grade, when I threw a chair at someone because they kept bullying me, or something like that. I don’t really recall it that well. Since then, every time someone has mistreated me, I’ve just sat there and taken it, hurtful or not.
In that thread there was someone who called you an hypocrite; it’s the vanished account. What was that about?
School really, really sucks in that regard.
I hope you regain the combative sense of that one time in the 7th grade and don’t let it happen anymore.
It was a troll who uses VPNs to ban evade. At the beginning of the year, I offered to help him through email. After a while, I stopped contacting him because it clearly wasn’t helping. I don’t think I promised that I would never give up on him.

I meant that you should remember that one time in 7th grade in which you stood up for yourself, and find the strength to not take anyone’s aggresion today.

Yes, I can certainly try, but it’s a fine line between being retaliatory and not letting myself get walked over. It’s a delicate balance that I really haven’t figured out.
Most of his posts are not directed at me. He posts adult and inflammatory garbage in every post, and sometimes harasses people. He can be funny and clever, but I think he has issues.
True dat. If I can be of any guidance, a gentle, plain “no” uttered at the right moment is enough to defend your interests without being aggresive yourself.

I highly recommend avoiding ranked until you can beat the hardest or extreme AI. Ranked can get pretty frustrating sometimes.
You’re right for the most part; I’ve encountered some really good players on ranked. On the other hand, there’s no rule saying that bad players can’t go online. That’s why the 500 ELO bracket exists 
I’m not sure if I will ever beat hardest AI, let alone extreme.
On that note, I’ve been watching videos by T90 and Hera. I really appreciate when they talk about the times they were kids and played bad. Just now I’ve watched Hera’s video about the “Into China” scenario, of which he claims that he could never beat it when he started playing. It can ease one’s own dissapointment, seeing that the greatest ones had a time of hardship too.
