The House of Bourbon Chouannerie tech gives villagers an +1x multiplier vs infantry (CDBs get +0.66x). I always thought the purpose of the tech was for defense. Most games while defending I would rather use the 475 recourses, needed for the tech and tp, to make units or minute men or something. The tech is however very good with certain cards and revolutions.

Canada Revolt:
Warrior Culture:
So yeah it’s pretty good to get the tech if you like these cards or the Canada Revolution.
The tech is currently bugged with Sansculottes though since the unit does not have the Land Villager tag needed to receive a buff from the tech while it receives a debuff from the tech.

The reason for this is probably because the tech is giving a bonus to all vils and then taking abit of it away for the CDB specifically
Sansculottes are reskinned CDBs so they still get the negative effect without the increase
Though iirc this occurs if you research the tech after the revolt, if you research it before the revolt you should get it to stack. There should probably be a shadow tech to fix this
