If the War Wagon was replaced with the Hwacha, rather than keeping the same armor classes, it could receive a unique armor class that keeps most of the same weaknesses. That happened with the Camel Rider and Mamluke.
Makes little sense for the Hwacha to be a cavalry archer, not that it ever really made sense for the War Wagon.
Iām curious what they will end up doing. Because the Hwacha was supposed to be an area of effect weapon so it clearly is closer to an Onager.
Maybe covering a even larger area with less powerful pierce attacks will make it different enough from Onagers?
Similar to an Organ Gun each arrow would do the same damage instead of like an Onager that practically only does one attack with a larger AoE.
I mean to make hwacha regional and introduce a new unit hwarang to korean. Hwacha and Hwarang arenāt the same word.
But what is the difference between the two things? If theyāre just different names for the same thing then who cares, but if a Hwarang is actually functionally different in some way then perhapsā¦tbh iād still rather just stick with one Hwacha across the board though.
Going by another comment on this thread, a Hwarang is a cav archer. Which means itād need a way to be differentiated from the regular cav archer, the Mangudai and the Kipchak.
If possible, they could have weapon switch ability, as its name shows, rang means young nobleman, and they are skilled in different kind of weapons.
3+1 is the best result, donāt expect Dev to provide a 4Civs DLC
Hwacha is a weapon , Hwarang is a warrior class of Silla kingdom. Two things completely diffirent
Hwacha: Hwacha - Wikipedia
Hwarang: Hwarang - Wikipedia
Then itād need a way to be differentiated from the Ratha.
Youāre quoting the wrong person. I wasnāt the one to assume theyāre the same.
On another topic, if the devs were willing to break the unofficial rule of 3 campaigns per DLC, they could make a DLC with one civ related to the Japanese (Emishi maybe?), one related to the Koreans (I donāt know anyone to suggest) and campaigns for all four of those civs. Idk if thereās any potential campaign for the Emishi though.
Thatās easy, give them different weapons than Rathaās.
Like what, a spear/lance?
Should include a bow, thatās the first choice of a Hwarang.
He could also be a dismountable horse archer.
The next expansion for Age II: DE will include FIVE brand NEW Civs, all playable in Ranked Multiplayer. Yes, you read that correctly. Five!
We are actually getting more then 4 new civilisations in one DLC!
