I think Shu have officially replaced Khitans for top spot

It’s crazy, I know it has a margin of error of + or - 3 and all but 60% is a crazy win rate. What I can say is that Khitans have officially been displaced as king since their nerf and that Shu are here oppressing in their place.

Source:

Edit: Their win rate is high at all elos, not just the top 1%.
Double Edit: Almost used the wrong “their” like a pleb.

Is it all the War Chariots?

I do feel like the rest pf the civ is super strong, but the Chariot seems to be the only thing I have heard people complain about

Shu were a strong civ even before the war chariot buffs. PUP has their eco bonus reduced slightly, and that should push them down a little (and is probably sufficient).

The Shu have a pretty plain game plan: archers/xbows, either into a siege push (with mangonels) or a White feather guard meat shield in front. Their eco bonus is pretty strong, especially if you’re collecting a lot of wood (which you would be with a xbow/mangonel push). And cheaper upgrades for the Xbows is nice as well. All that combines to the Shu needing fewer farmers.

That said, outside of 1900+, Romans hold a slightly better win rate (but Romans are also arguably too strong, so that doesn’t mean much).

Their archer play is also really good. If they still good after chariot nerf then they need to nerf archer bonus.

Yeah I thought that the civ was perfectly tailored for archer play when it was revealed

It isn’t really good, is already on the verge of being completely OP, the civ has bonuses that are too perfect for the old Fast-Imperial Arbalest strat that previously FE wanted to get rid off (Food from woodcutting, cheaper archer upgrades, Traction Trebuchets and the Imperial Age UT).

OHHH I forgot, add Liu Bei for 30 HP healing rate 11
