I think the latest DLC should have four new civs

I think the latest DLC should have four new civilizations.

The reasons are as follows:

1: For aoe2 players, when the latest DLC is launched in the future, it has been more than one and a half years since the last DLC was launched, which means that for aoe2 players, there has been no new excitement for more than one and a half years. Therefore, I think this DLC should have more fresh content than the previous DLC.

02: The launch of ROR has made many old aoe2 players pessimistic about the future development of aoe2. If the latest DLC can have four new civilizations, it can boost the confidence of most players in the community (never don’t believe those who think there is no need to add more civilizations).

03: The regions related to Persia, whether West Asia or Caucasus, have sufficient historical thickness to accommodate four new civs.

04: As for the development cost, I think it is a very important DLC that determines the future direction of aoe2. Even if the development cost of the four new civilizations is higher than the usual budget, devs should do it.

Add five civis like in FE from across the globe and complete the 48 civi slot count.

I don’t think any DLC should have 4 civs. 2-3 is maximum.

I also don’t want new civs which name I never heard before.

It is also my opinion that Persions should have no major rework.

In fact, so far, AOE has 5 DLCs with more than 4 new civs.

What? For AoE2 at least, only the Conquerors added more than 4 new civs. If you count RoR as well, that’s only two.

FE also had five civis.

But before DE these were events that only occured once in a few years. Now there are much more DLCs that have usually 2 new civs.

What are you talking about?

Conquerors added 5 new civs.

The Forgotten added 5 new civs.

The African Kingdoms added 4 new civs.

Rise of the Rajas added 4 new civs.

The Last Khans added 4 new civs.

OK, but, So what? :expressionless: :expressionless: :expressionless:

In addition, the launch time of 《Rise of the rajas》 is only one year away from 《The African Kings》

You didn’t say four though. You said more than four. As in “five or more”. I know it’s a bit pedantic, but that’s definitely how it read to me.

I hope they hired another team for aoe1 because if they count on improving both with the same team it’s kinda hard and a lot of work, it’s easier to screw up. It would cost but would be a good investment imho since the franchise doesn’t have an ancient theme game otherwise, and being aoe1 so (gameplay wise) similar to arguably the most loved game of the series, is a good move to keep investing on it.

That said it would be awesome if the next DLC add civs to both aoe1 and 2 from the same area (ancient and medieval Persia and surroundings) but that’s probably not going to happen…

The devs often refuse to release new civs in a balanced state, so I am against too much new civs.

Edit: The devs also should focus on fix issues like pathing before spending there work time on creating new civs.

I think having a multi-national forum can lead to some mistranslations, so while it also reads the same way to me, I can re-filter that in my head and assume the poster means ’ #### or more’ new civs. Not everyone speaks English natively, and not everyone speaks the language well either.

(Why does the number 4 written out get censored? Even the number itself gets censored! 11)

Different teams handle this. Pathing is not as bad as most people claim. It’s moaning.
