Idea for two later civs/military orders

We have Teutons and Teutonic Knights, but no Templars or Hospitallers? The Knights Templar were more famous than the Teutonic Knights, and the Knights Hospitaller lasted the longest out of the three. Maybe they could be made into civs one day?

Political entities are not civilizations, ingame teutons are not the teutonic order.

But the Teutonic Order created a powerful Teutonic state which created the Prussian nation - who later united Germany.

The Teutons civ are really based solely on the Teutonic Knights and their nation (they may represent all of the Baltic Germans).

Only you believe this.We have gone back and fourth about this more than enough now.

If we are going to have the medieval prussian state might as well be the pagan prussians as TO is already covered by ingame teutons.

Am I the only one tired of this Teutons spam debate?

Give them to us in the scenario editor at least.

Yes, but they get Teutonic Knights, and I’m pretty sure the devs can’t add a unique unit to some random civ, since the Hospitallers’ headquarters changed places often, and Templars can’t really be added to a random civ for the same reason.

Guys its another barely 1 day old account. None o of you feel it’s suspicious!?

Chill out, what’s wrong with suggestions? All I’m saying is that maybe if the devs ever think about adding Hospitallers and Templars, they could do what AOE4 did with the Order of the Dragon.

Its not suggesting things, its the fact we keep getting new blood with rather bait level posts. Maybe you are posting in good faith and if so super, keep posting

how about we make the Pope a civ? not the Papal States; the Pope himself

You can add them to either franks where they started or portuguese where they were lastly active.
Aoe3 maltese are technically hospitaller order.

Franks don’t need anything else. Their winrate is already slightly above average, and I know that Hospitallers are in AOE3, but they’re not in AOE2. I’m not so sure about Portuguese though.

AoE4 concept of “civilization” is diferent (and honestly, fairly confusing and seeminly arbitrary). Using ethnic/cultural divisions like AOE2 does, Hospitaliers and Templars dont fit the game

If you insist on new templar or hospitallier units, I think best option is as scenario only units, or as new UUs for Occitan or existing civs (although I dont think they are needed at all)

Because some spammer keeps coming in with vpn to ban evade.

We can give them a Popemobile just reskin the Cobra Car and if it dies you lose

Well, what new civilizations could possibly have either? Hospitallers often had to relocate, from Jerusalem, to Rhodes, then finally to Malta. Templars settled in France, but Franks are clearly strong enough. Also, the Knights Templar are the most famous of the three, and though their time was short, they accomplished many things.

The editor needs more love. It’s been slim picking wrt to the editor despite so many new DLCs.
